Not really part of the ride home, but worthy of note here. I had an excellent ride around Wales with my good friend Pax today, on the way to a weekend hosted by adventure bike rider Nick Sanders. It’s a mini holiday for both of us and it’ll be fab.

Pax knows every road in Wales and we stuck to the good ones! My trusty rusty KLR sits idle in the garage as it’s waiting for UK paperwork, so Sarah had lent me her VFR800. It’s a great machine and easy to ride (and of course I go easy on it as it’s not my bike!).

This shot is of one of the many dams we rode around, before having an ice cream on the beach! We’ve arrived and met Nick, who’s a real character! Roll on the rest of the weekend.
